Three Florida service companies. HVAC, commercial roofing, and pest control. Each one kept the business — the trucks, the reviews, the license, the owner — and changed the first screen so Google, the Map Pack, and AI Overviews can cite the shop.
US Web Central does not publish fake traffic multiples or “#1 in Sarasota” screenshots. Rankings and AI citations move with the market. What these pages show is the chassis: the H1, the 40–60 word answer, the call path, the cities, the license, and the questions a customer would actually ask out loud.
That is the 2026 test we run on every Lumina build:
- Can a stranger on a phone tell the job and the city in ten seconds?
- Can Google, Maps, and an AI Overview extract one clean entity — name, trade, city, phone — without guessing?
- Is there a path to call or book without hunting for Contact Us?
If the answer is no, the site is a brochure. The work below is what happens when it stops being one.

What a Lumina case study is — and is not
A Lumina case study is a before/after of the first screen and the pages behind it. Same shop. Different chassis.
We can show: answer-first copy, a job + city H1, dual CTAs, service-page architecture, owner or company E-E-A-T, license and NAP on the page, spoken FAQs, and a site built to be cited in Google, Maps, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
We do not claim: a locked Map Pack position, a guaranteed AI Overview mention, or a traffic chart that ignores season, ads, and competitors. Nobody honest sells that.
The pattern is local, not city-specific. Sarasota HVAC, Nokomis roofing, Tampa Bay pest control — same order of work, different city names and service mix.
The three shops
1. AC Heroes — veteran-owned HVAC, Sarasota & Manatee
Live after site: ac-heroes.com
License: CAC1821551 · Phone: (941) 724-7127
Market: Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Venice, North Port, Longboat Key, Parrish
AC Heroes already had a real company, a truck, Google reviews, and a WordPress site. The old homepage did what most local HVAC sites do: a photo of the van, a keyword-stuffed H1 about installation, a “Looking for reliable…” opener, and one Contact Us button.
Lumina rebuilt the first screen around the job people actually call for.
- Before H1: Air Conditioning & Heating Installation Sarasota, FL | AC Heroes
- After H1: Same-Day AC Repair in Sarasota & Bradenton
- After opener: a short entity paragraph a model can lift — veteran-owned HVAC company in Sarasota, same-day repair, 24/7 emergency, Sarasota and Manatee Counties
- Paths: call if the AC is down now; estimate if they need a new system
- Architecture: six service cards (repair, installation, emergency, maintenance, ductwork, indoor air quality) instead of one long bullet list
- Voice: “I’m Zach. I live here.” instead of third-person “service specialists”
The old page described HVAC. The new page can be cited.

2. Green Roofing — commercial roofing & waterproofing, Nokomis / Venice
Live after site: greenroofingonline.com
License: CCC1328613 · Phone: (941) 412-4047
Market: Nokomis, Venice, and Sarasota County
Owner: Robert Beckner, President · GAF GoldElite
The job was never “make it greener.” The old homepage hid a licensed Nokomis shop behind a YouTube embed and a mission statement. Primary action: watch a video. License and GAF were not on the first screen. “Green Roofing” also reads like living roofs — a name mix-up a model will happily repeat if you do not correct it in plain language.
Lumina put the trade, the cities, the license, and the phone where Google and AI Overviews can lift them.
- After H1: Commercial Roofing & Waterproofing in Nokomis & Venice, FL
- First action: Call (941) 412-4047 or request an inspection — not “Watch on YouTube”
- Entity on the hero: name, trade, city, license CCC1328613, GAF GoldElite, hours, phone
- Offer: install, repair, maintain — commercial, industrial, residential
- Name clarification: the page states this is not a vegetated-roof company

3. Emergency Pest Control — same-day pest control, Tampa Bay
Live after site: emergencypestcontrolfl.com
Phone: (813) 933-1911
Address: 3801 Corporex Park Dr., Suite 175, Tampa, FL 33619
Market: Tampa, Temple Terrace, Lake Magdalene, and greater Tampa Bay
Operating since: 1997
This is a same-day pest control company, not a national franchise homepage. The Lumina first screen leads with the job and the market: same-day pest control since 1997, Tampa Bay, click-to-call on 813-933-1911. Services sit as real pages a model can attach to a query — ants and roaches, termites, rodents, mosquitoes, wildlife, fumigation — plus the ODie once-a-year outdoor system for homes that do not want monthly indoor sprays.
City pages name Tampa, Temple Terrace, and Lake Magdalene instead of a generic “we serve the area” paragraph. FAQs are spoken questions: same-day or not, is ODie safe for kids and pets, how booking works. The footer identifies it as a Lumina website by US Web Central.
The detailed page-by-page before/after for this shop follows the same chassis as HVAC and roofing. The live after site is already public.

The pattern across all three
| Layer | Brochure site | Lumina site |
|---|---|---|
| H1 | Company name, or every service crammed into one title | Job + city the customer actually typed |
| First 60 words | “Looking for a trusted… look no further” | Who, what, where, how to reach them |
| Primary action | One Contact Us button, or a video | Call now and a second path (estimate, inspection, book) |
| Services | One long bullet list | One service per URL, linked from the first screen |
| Entity | Name / city / phone disagree across the site and Maps | One NAP on the page, in schema, and on Google Business Profile |
| Proof | Manufacturer logos and stock icons | License, reviews, years, owner voice, real cities |
| FAQs | Policy-manual language | Questions a homeowner or property manager would ask out loud |
| After launch | The site freezes on day one | Monthly layer: technical SEO, four AI-ready posts, citations, GBP |
What sits under the first screen
Lumina is not a theme swap. Design is the visible layer. The chassis is WordPress structure, schema (LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage), Core Web Vitals, Google Business Profile alignment, and a 12-month content layer so the page is still cite-able after launch week.
Typical stack on these builds:
- Lumina WebSites — custom WordPress, usually Divi 5, you own the site
- Local SEO + GEO — technical and on-page work for Google and AI citation
- Google Business Profile — same name, cities, phone, and categories as the site
- Optional Growth Engine — only if the leak is the Saturday form sitting until Monday
Lumina pricing: $1,500 setup + $250/month for 12 months. Site + SEO + GBP. Delivery 7–14 days after copy, photos, and access. The office is Port Charlotte. The work runs on any local service URL. Four counties are the home market: Sarasota, Charlotte, Manatee, and Lee.
If your site still looks like the left column
You do not need a 40-page marketing plan. You need an honest read of the first screen.
Send the URL. The free AI + SEO audit tells you whether Google, Maps, and ChatGPT can describe the business without guessing — and whether you need a Lumina rebuild or a fix on the site you already have.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Lumina case study?
A before/after of the website chassis — not a traffic fairy tale. We show the H1, the opening answer, the call paths, the service pages, the license and NAP, and the FAQs. We do not invent Map Pack screenshots or guarantee an AI Overview citation.
Which businesses are in these case studies?
Three live Lumina sites: AC Heroes (veteran-owned HVAC in Sarasota and Manatee), Green Roofing & Waterproofing (commercial roofing in Nokomis and Venice), and Emergency Pest Control (same-day pest control in Tampa Bay since 1997).
Did these companies change owners or trade names?
No. Same shops. Same licenses. Same reviews. The first screen and the page architecture changed so a person, Google, and an AI system can all extract the same entity.
Do you guarantee these sites will appear in every Google AI Overview or ChatGPT answer?
No. Nobody honest does. We build a page a model can cite — clean entity, spoken answers, consistent NAP across the site and Google Business Profile — then keep those signals current each month. Queries, competitors, and Overviews change.
Is Lumina only a redesign?
No. Design is the paint. Lumina is the chassis: WordPress structure, answer-first copy, one service per URL, schema, Google Business Profile alignment, and four AI-ready posts a month so the site does not freeze on launch day.
Does this only work in Southwest Florida?
The office is in Port Charlotte. The home market is Sarasota, Charlotte, Manatee, and Lee counties. The same pattern runs on any local service URL — Tampa Bay pest control is the proof on this page. Different city names. Same order of work.
What does Lumina cost?
$1,500 setup plus $250 per month for 12 months. That is the site, local SEO / GEO, and Google Business Profile management. Delivery is 7–14 days after we have copy, photos, and access. The Growth Engine is an add-on only if form fills die in the inbox. See Lumina pricing.
What if I already have a website that ranks?
Ranking and being cite-able are not the same job. Plenty of shops need a schema and copy pass, not a $1,500 rebuild. The free AI + SEO audit is how you know which leak you actually have.
Where can I see the live after sites?
AC Heroes, Green Roofing, and Emergency Pest Control. Long-form write-ups: AC Heroes before/after and Green Roofing before/after. Start with the first screen. That is the part most local sites still get wrong.
